CSU Prerequisite: None. Corequisite: DEH-20A, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, and 28. Limitation on enrollment: Enrollment in the Dental Hygiene Program. This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene Program. This course will introduce the student to planning for the patient's medical management, including prevention, anticipation of potential medical emergencies and implementing appropriate treatment. Emphasis is placed on a problem-based approach to management of medical emergencies. 18 hours lecture.
