CSU Prerequisite: AMY-2A, ENG-1A, MAT 52. Corequisite: DEH-10A, 11, 12B, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. Limitation on enrollment: Enrollment in the Dental Hygiene Program. This course is designed to meet the state and national accreditation requirements for an approved Dental Hygiene Program. The student will be introduced to the basic principles and techniques of exposing and processing dental radiographs. Emphasis will be placed on the concepts of radiologic imaging, quality assurance, legal aspects, hazardous waste management, radiation health, and basic radiologic imaging interpretation. 18 hours lecture.
