Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Sponsorship by a General Motors dealership or approved GM repair facility required. This course presents the fundamentals of GM manual transmission, transaxle, transfer case, differential, and driveline operation and repair. The disassembly, inspection, measurement and reassembly of selected GM manual transmissions, transaxles, transfer cases, clutches all wheel drive systems, drivelines and differentials will be introduced. The diagnosis of concerns with the transmission, transaxle and drivetrain systems are included. Sponsorship by a GM dealership required. 54 hours lecture and 54 hours laboratory.
