Prerequisite: AUT-71 or AUT-40. Limitation on enrollment: Sponsorship by a Ford, Lincoln/Mercury, or Mazda dealership, or approved Ford repair facility. This course presents the operating principles of automatic transmissions and transaxles. The disassembly, inspection, measurement, and reassembly of automatic transmissions and transaxles will be performed. The diagnosis of operating concerns of conventional and electronically controlled transmissions and transaxles will also be introduced. 54 hours lecture and 54 hours of laboratory.
