ART 20 - Beginning Sculpture

UC, CSU ( CAN ART-12) Prerequisite: None. An introduction to the fundamentals of sculpture design and creation. A variety of materials, such as clay, wax and plaster will be used. Additive, subtractive and construction methods for creating the sculptural pieces will be explored, as well as other traditional and contemporary forms and techniques. Students pay for their own materials. 36 hours lecture and 72 hours laboratory.
