Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Successful application to the ABCT program and sponsorship by an automotive body repair shop. Designed as the first course in a series to prepare the student for employment as an auto body technician. Instruction in this course and others of the series is based on Inter Industry Conference on Automotive Collision Repair training curriculum. Students will learn safety procedures, tools, metal straightening and shrinking, parts replacement and alignment, body filler uses and the application of trim and hardware. 72 hours lecture and 162 hours laboratory.
