Prerequisite: None. Limitation on enrollment: Must be a sworn peace officer. This course provides an overview of major terrorist groups operating in Southern California. The student will learn what recent events that have taken place surrounding the activities of terrorist groups and trends. Some of the more specific topics will cover the identification of types and uses of explosives employed by terrorist organizations. Issues covering the law enforcement response will also be presented. 8 hours lecture.
