Prerequisite: None. This course provides the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to qualify for limited peace officer status powers as required by Penal Code 832. The course will emphasize laws of arrest, search and seizure, evidence and the investigative process. This course meets the curriculum standards of the California Board of Corrections and the California Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training. 30 hours lecture and 10 hours laboratory.
