Prerequisite: None. This course provides the Reserve Officer with instruction equivalent to the Basic Academy's presentation on aerosol chemical agents and an introduction to the use and effects of oleoresin capsicum (pepper spray) tear gas. Successful completion of this course is required for authorization to carry OC tear gas by Department Reserves. 3 hours lecture and 1 hour laboratory.
