A well balanced competency-based clinical education allows the student to demonstrate proper application of the didactic knowledge with special emphasis on positioning the patient and application of exposure techniques. The clinical instructor provides supervision and evaluates the student's positioning skills, professional attitude toward patient and clinical staff, application of their anatomic knowledge when viewing radiographs. Correct use of medical terminology and the application of radiation protection are evaluated. Total hrs. 240 off-campus. Prerequisite: acceptance to Radiologic Technology Curriculum. Offered fall semester.
