This course provides the student with the basic concepts of patient care, including consideration of the physical and psychological needs of the patient. Routine and emergency patient care procedures are described, patient care and safety, drug administration, vital signs, infection control procedures and venipuncture. The role of the radiographer in patient education is identified. Class hrs. 2. Prerequisite: acceptance to Radiologic Technology Curriculum. Offered fall semester.
