A study of modern inventory control systems, this course provides an understanding of the concepts and calculations necessary in successful merchandising, and familiarizes students with the terminology in operating statements, retail method of inventory, planning seasonal purchases, methods of figuring markups, turnover, stock-sales ratios, open-to-buy, markdowns and terms of sale. Development policies and procedures used in retailing, with emphasis on retail mathematics. Class hrs. 3. Prerequisites: MATH 110B College Algebra and ACC 119 Financial Accounting. Offered spring semester.
