This is an introduction to programming design, logic and fundamental problem solving. Emphasis is on object oriented and event driven programming. Students use looping, if-then, case structures, arrays, built-in functions, user defined functions, database connectivity with ADO, and GUI techniques as well as the design and use of classes including class methods and attributes. Focus is on designing object-oriented business programs that have a graphical user interface. Class/Lab hrs. 4. Pre- or Corequisite: DP 103 Computer Information Systems.
