This hands-on course focuses on the technical aspects of digital video production. Students work in teams to produce a short documentary video using single camera techniques and online editing. Topics include production skills, cinematography, location lighting and sound, recording and editing. The course discusses how to find and tell a story, the use of journalistic techniques to develop a strong statement, and post-production planning for effective online editing.
