This course is a study of the fundamental principles of evolution. Students learn about the history of evolutionary thought, evidence for evolution, natural selection, variation, population genetics, genetic drift, sexual selection, speciation, phylogeny, co-evolution, extinction, and the history of life on earth. The course includes one discussion hour. Prerequisites: SCI 1124/SCI 1125 Principles of Biology I with "C" or better or permission of instructo r AN D MAT 1001 or MAT 1205 or permission of instructor
