Through studying some of the landmark images in the history of photography, students learn what every good photograph has in common. Students will see how a photograph, in its technique, and in the emotion it makes, puts opposites together -like momentary and permanent, stillness and motion, personal and impersonal, freedom and order. That is what we want to do in our own lives.
