Description:
This course is an introduction to transthoracic echo, Doppler, M-mode, stress echo, transesophageal, intravascular cardiac ultrasound, 3D and contrast echocardiography. Doppler waveforms, two-dimensional images, color flow mapping, pressure half-time and the Bernoulli equation are discussed. Clinical experiences will be provided in in-patient and out-patient settings. Pre-requisites: BIO 211, CVT 101, MAT 140, MED 105 Co-requisites: BIO 212, INF 101
