Description:
This course is designed to provide the student with film critique and an introduction to radiation protection and biology. It also provides the student with concepts of radiation, its production and interaction with matter, the X-ray machine, circuits, components and practical application. Radiographic procedure III is included with emphasis on lecture-laboratory study of Level III competencies. Following classroom activities, students are scheduled for supervised clinical education. The student is assigned to clinical experience three days a week mastering Level III competencies. An introduction to the operating room and specialty areas is also included. Prerequisites: BIO 212, ENG 101, INF 101, PHY 101, PSY 101, RAD 112 Co-requisites: REL 101, SOC 101
