Soil, aquatic, and atmospheric chemistry; environmental analytical chemistry; and connections to environmental biology. Sources, reactions, mobility, effects, fates of chemical species in the soil, water, and air environments, and the effect of human activity on these. Lecture, labora- tory experiments, and field trips will be used to address the needs for this course. The laboratory component will develop hands-on experience in both classical and instrumental methods of chemical analysis. Prerequisites: Chemistry 112 and 112L, both passed with a grade of C- or higher. Course Type(s): None
