This course provides an introduction to numerical analysis and scientific computation. Topics include nonlinear equations, linear systems, interpolation and curve fitting, numerical differentiation and integration, numerical solution of differential equations, approximation of functions, and models of computation on serial and parallel computers. Prerequisites: CMP201, MTH202, and MTH300. 3 credits.
