Prerequisite: Placement test score within the designated range for this course or successful completion of ESLS 025 - Academic English Reading & Writing III. Academic English Reading and Writing Level IV is the fourth in a five-part series of ESL courses designed to prepare students for reading and writing at the college level. Reading and writing are taught as related processes, and the course emphasizes vocabulary development, dictionary use, critical thinking, and information technology. Students at Level IV write essays of four paragraphs in various genres.
