Prerequisite: OLST 101 - Overhead Line/Substation Technology I. This course provides the knowledge to safely and properly install three-phase primary conductors, as well as safely inspect and operate a bucket truck. The safe installation and operation of line fuses, reclosers, transformers power banks, capacitors, and line voltage regulators, as well as the identification, installation, and maintenance of underground residential distribution secondary equipment will be learned. The safe and proper methods of installing box pads, single-phase transformers, primary elbows and terminators, and safety requirements will be included throughout the course of instruction.
