Prerequisite: CISY 103 - Computer Concepts & Programming, CISY 238 - C Programming or CISY 242 - Object Oriented Programming: C++. Java is a platform-neutral, object-oriented, and secure programming language for creating interactive content on the World Wide Web (www). This course covers Java "applets" into their Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) pages as well as write their own. Students also learn to write Java applets and standalone applications, native libraries, and content/protocol handlers for extending www browsers.
