Student peer educators learn how to teach a first-year interest group seminar and help new students make the transition to university life. Selected topics focus on effective methods of college teaching and program strategies to increase understanding of the first-year and transfer experience. Discussions center on teaching techniques to integrate faculty, current research topics, academic advising, developmental and adjustment issues, and cooperative/group-learning experiences. Open to selected upper-class students only. May not be repeated for credit.
