Prerequisite: Admission to the Respiratory Care Program. Fundamental concepts in basic respiratory care techniques and use of associated equipment. Medical gas therapy, aerosol, humidity and supplemental oxygen therapy, hyperinflation techniques and airway clearance procedures are discussed. A foundation in respiratory pharmacology is also developed.
