Prerequisite: SON 1121C Corequisite: SON 2814L. This course is designed to give the student detailed instruction of the role of ultrasound in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. The evaluation of the fetus including anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pathophysiology will be discussed. The focus will be on the normal and abnormal fetal conditions in pregnancy including assessment of gestational age through biometry techniques, sonographic landmarks, and appearance of the fetal head, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and heart.
