Description:

Prerequisites: ENGL 111, 112, 202, 203, and 204. Open to senior level English majors only (students with less than 91 hours will be admitted only by permission of the English chair). This is a capstone seminar required of all English majors. Students will be required to sit for the Major Fields Test in English (or other assessment exams), revise at least four papers originally submitted for upper division English for a portfolio, and discuss, research, and write about one major literary work. Furthermore, students will discuss graduate schools, professional opportunities, careers in education, and other post-graduation possibilities. This class will be graded Pass-Fail.
