Cellular and biochemical emphasis, including cell anatomy and physiology, energy processes and the molecular biology of gene expression. (Formerly BIO 103. Students may not receive credit for both BIO 103 and BIO 1140. In addition, students may not take BIO 1140 if they have completed BIO 1010.) Prerequisite: CHM 1010.
