3 Credits A beginner's studio course designed to teach ceramics as a creative craft and art form. The student is encouraged to explore ceramics as a form of three-dimensional expression and to be actively engaged in the complete cycle of ceramic production: production of clay, construction of forms, decoration and firing. Students are expected to acquire knowledge of and to test various glazes. 6 studio hours.
