3 Credits Designed to provide a survey of the role of the computer in visual communication design. Students will receive basic training on the primary types of software and peripherals with which designers must be familiar. This includes painting-type (raster) software as well as structured graphics (vector) applications. Students will be encouraged to develop creative approaches to projects coupled with increased technical proficiency. 6 studio hours.
