Credits: 1 (0-2) A second level course for students who successfully complete the beginning swimming course, PED 143, or demonstrate the ability to swim the crawl with head in the water using rhythmic breathing for at least 50 meters. A variety of strokes and skills including elementary backstroke, basic diving, sidestroke, breast stroke, underwater swimming, various kicks and personal safety skills. American Red Cross guidelines are used.
