Credits: 3 (3-0) Prerequisite(s): NRB 122, BIO 112 The scientific study of nutrients including proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals as it relates to digestion, absorption and metabolism will be explored. An introduction to the nutrition care process, the assessment of nutrition status, interactions between drugs and nutrients, the relationship of disease to nutrition status and the principles of nutrition management of various diseases will be emphasized. Nursing students only.
