This course explores fundamental issues facing modern profit and non-profit organizations and their employees. Topics will include basic model, theory, and research of organizational structure, communication, power and leadership, employee participation in decision-making, group dynamics, and employee satisfaction. Contemporary concerns such as diversity in the workplace, sexual harassment, family and work issues, sexual orientation and AIDS in the workplace will also be addressed. General Education Elective: Behavioral Science Note: Students will not receive credit for both PSY 174 (SO 4124) and (BU 3131), due to similar course content.
