This course is an introductory study of the diverse role computers and information technology play in various societies throughout the world. The course will include an analysis and discussion of the social, political, and economic impact of computers and information technology, an examination of workplace and ethical dilemmas created by computers and information technology, and inquiry into the philosophical and psychological implications of these new technologies. Prerequisite: ENG 060 (EN 2103) or higher placement and eligible for ENG 101 (EN 1103). General Education Electives: Humanities
