Description:
A unique interdisciplinary, project oriented course in which students conduct experiments, perform statistical analyses and produce lab reports. Researching and using lab experiments from the life and physical sciences, students will analyze results while learning and using descriptive statistics, probability density functions, parametric and non-parametric statistical tests and linear correlation and regression. Hypothesis testing and basic experimental design are emphasized throughout the course. Prerequisite: MAT 100 (MA 1106) or MAT 120 (MA 1135) with a grade of C or better or by placement exam above MAT 100 (MA 1106), and placement above or successful completion of ENG 060 (EN 2103).
