Students are introduced to weather elements and observations that include atmospheric temperature, pressure, moisture, global air circulation patterns, and air masses. Understanding of the interaction of these various elements of the atmosphere is key to weather analysis and forecasting and will lead to a brief introduction to the more severe forms of weather such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and thunderstorms. Prerequisite: Placement above or successful completion of ENG 060 (EN 2103) and eligibility for ENG 101 (EN 1103). Recommendation: Concurrent enrollment in ENG 075 (EN 2122) or ENG 085 (EN 2131) if CPT reading placement test is between 68 and 75.
