This course provides students with a broad introductory background in human immunology. Structure and function of the various components of the immune system will be covered. Topics covered include: humoral and cell-mediated immunity; immunological techniques (such as ELISA, RIA, IFA, and monoclonal antibody production) and the genetic basis of the immune response.
