(Formerly BIO 206) A laboratory course designed to introduce molecular biology techniques such as plasmid and chromosomal DNA isolation, restriction enzyme mapping, agarose gel electrophoresis, and manipulation of DNA fragments. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite: BIO*121 (Formerly BIO 102) or BIO* 235 (Formerly BIO 205L) and CHE* 112 (Formerly CHEM 104) or a higher level chemistry course, or permission of instructor.
