The course content examines the unique win-dow of opportunity provided by appropriate intervention in the first decade of a child's life and is based upon biobrain research and new understanding of how young children grow and develop. Further, the course will explore factors that enhance development, techniques of assessment, the referral process, collabora-tion with parents, modification of the curricu-lum, behavior management and how to stimu-late speech, language and social development.
