This course includes the Florida court system structures and how courts relate to law enforcement; instruction in the first response to emergency situations and rescue; general information involving law enforcement officers dealing with bomb explosives, bomb threats and weapons of mass destruction. Students will learn skills to perform different law enforcement functions while assigned to a special detail such as indoor or outdoor public events; the elements of unlawful assemblies and riots; and types of force that can be used in riotous situations and riot control procedures.
