This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to function successfully as a temporary instructor in the Miami Dade County Public Schools K-12 program. The course includes district polices and procedures regarding safety of students and staff, Code of Student Conduct, Classroom will highlight acquiring an understanding of the content measured by state achievement tests, reading and interpreting data and using data to improve student achievement. Finally, the course will enable the match of instructional strategies to the learner's cognitive, social, linguistic, emotional and physical needs. Prerequisite: Probability and Statistics. (3 hour lecture)
