This laboratory course complements the lecture corequisite ZOO 3021, which presents zoology as a scientific discipline, the theory of evolution according to natural selection, the basic principles of zoological nomenclature, taxonomy, and systematics, the basic understanding of the relationships of animals to other organisms, and to one another, and our understanding of the nature, consequences, and outcome of the global biodiversity crisis. This laboratory course provides hands-on experience with the concepts covered in the lecture course. Prerequisites: BSC 2010, 2010L, CHM 1045, 1045L; corequisites: ZOO 3021. (2 hour lab)
