(3) HHHH Prerequisite: Psychology 235 or Math 270. An introduction to scientific inquiry and research in the social sciences, including experimental and non-experimental designs. Includes data collection strategies, hypothesis testing, analyzing tests of measurement, and use of computer aids. (Same as Anthropology 240 and Sociology 240.) UC/IND/CSU For students planning to major in the behavioral/social sciences, Statistics is the first component of a recommended two-course sequence and should be followed by ANT 240/PSY 240/SOC 240.
