The course provides development of skills necessary for rendering fashion illustration. The elements of the garment and the figure are identified utilizing various media used within the apparel industry for fashion illustration. The exploration of concepts including manipulating the figure, drawing draped garments, and creating flats are referenced. Methods for drawing the turned and profile figure are examined. Sketching the walking figure and various techniques necessary for rendering fabrics and trims common to the apparel industry are developed for professional, finished portfolio collections.
