The course provides students with mathematical applications related to retail buying. Planning merchandise buys, development of classifications and sub-classifications with details of units, price line, size, fabrications, and color are included. Product development and private label merchandise in relation to buying plans and assortments are explored. Profit and income statements in the retail establishment are emphasized.
