The course provides students with a basic knowledge and understanding of apparel production operations. An overview of the basic industrial equipment and ts application provides students with the concepts of production, efficient and cost effective methods, and quality control. How operations affect design decisions and the final costing of a garment are elaborated. The course supplements courses on flat pattern making, textiles, and draping. The course allows an exploration of general operations and progresses to more specific technical applications. A studio course. 3 credits (Spring)
