An introduction to the fundamentals of apparel merchandising. The sequential order of marketing fashion from concept to consumer is analyzed. Identification of business practices, differentiation of international fashion centers, and global sourcing procedures are included. The course provides a comprehensive study of the creation and development of a new fashion apparel product, including examination of raw materials, production, and creative merchandising processes.
