An exploration and development of techniques within the visual merchandising field of fashion apparel. Emphasis is on critical implementation of three-dimensional visual displays. Technical terms of the trade are highlighted. Generating sales through effective use of props, backgrounds, and themes is explored. Communication with the consumer is stressed. Logic and creative problem solving with regards to budget, safety, and strategic planning are elaborated. Creative and artistic thinking are identified, analyzed, and evaluated with regards to practical applications. Prerequisites: ART 103. 3 credits (Fall)
