10 Credits Focuses on the nursing theory and application of the nursing process for clients experiencing chronic health problems. Students will build on prior knowledge as they plan and implement care in the laboratory and clinical settings for clients dealing with chronic renal, cardiac/ respiratory, psychiatric and neuromuscular disorders. Class work will emphasize the unique bio-psycho-social needs of this population. Content will continue to enhance the students understanding of pharmacology, communication, teaching, legal/ ethical and computer literacy concepts. Prerequisite: NUR-1213C Credit for this course does NOT apply to the Associate in Arts degree.
