2 Credits This studio course will serve as a continuation of Modern Dance I and will further explore basic principles of modern dance technique. It will broaden students' awareness of dance concepts such as momentum, weight shift, rebound and release. It will further develop dance vocabulary, body alignment, and develop an introductory framework for dance aesthetics. Attendance at and written critiques of dance performances will provide deeper insight into the dance field. This course may be taken twice for credit. Prerequisite: Audition or instructor permission
